BNI Grand Central Chapter 24
BNI Chapter 24, the Grand Central Chapter, is a dynamic networking group consisting of seasoned professionals from a wide range of industries. We are one of NYC’s most successful chapters, with our members passing a high volume of quality referrals resulting in closed business.

The chapter meets as a group every week and also on an individual basis to forge strong business relationships. When do we meet?
Every Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. (Please arrive at 6:45 a.m.)
Where do we meet?
We meet at the 101 Club at 101 Park Ave and 40th St.
What happens at the meeting?
The meeting is structured, and we start promptly at 7.00 am. Please prepare a 45-60 second commercial on your business and the services you provide. Visitors are encourages to bring 35 business cards.
Cost
Visitors are welcome to meetings. A breakfast fee of $20 is due on the day of the meeting. Please contact our visitor hosts to inform them when you plan to attend.
Substitute Etiquette
Each member serves at the discretion of the Directors and is subject to denial and removal at any time for failure to comply with our guidelines.
- A member is only allowed to sub once (1) a month at any particular Chapter
- The requesting member must confirm location, day of the week and time for their substitute.
- A visiting member must show up on time and be ready to give the commercial of the member they are substituting.
- If your category is occupied at the chapter you are subbing you will not be allowed to give your 60-Second Commercial at that chapter meeting.
- The Ideal Sub:
A) Business Partner, Colleague or Employee
B) Spouse or Significant Other
C) Best Client or Vendor
D) Family Member or Friend
E) As a last resort a BNI Member
Tips on getting a great substitute:
- You’re chances of getting a good sub are far greater if you plan ahead. So remember to take a glance at your calendar for the previous month.
- Call and email your potential substitute.
- Explain the benefits of being a sub. (i.e., networking, no payment, specific power partners)
- When you give your sub. the 60 sec. commercial, ask them to review it so they can ask you any questions about your business.
- Email or call your substitute to thank them. This will encourage them to sub. for you again!
How to become a substitute
- Go to www.bni24nyc.com
- Click on members only
- Enter your username and password
- Click on members edit
- Find your name and click edit
- Scroll down to find Substitute Program and find Are you a substitute?
- Click YES in the box
- Fill in the days you are available to substitute
If you are a new member, you may not be in the system yet. Contact the chapter secretary to make sure there are no problems with your application and payment.
